1. What type of service do I need?
The first thing we do at Care Network is send one of our licensed nurses to do an assessment. She will meet with you and your family to evaluate and determine the level of care needed. Our administrative staff can assist you with information about nursing homes, senior safeguard products or other services that you might need

2. What kinds of services do your caregivers provide?

Our caregivers help with all personal care including (but not limited to) dressing, bathing, exercise, medication reminders and providing companionship. They also do light housekeeping, meal preparation, run errands, and take you to the doctor.

3. Are your caregivers insured?

Our caregivers are covered by worker's compensation insurance, and professional liability insurance. They are also bonded. It is very important that you make sure a caregiver has insurance before you bring them into your home or have them take care of you or a loved one. Many companies have employees that are considered independent contractors, and they may not have adequate insurance coverage that would provide for them if they should get hurt in your home.

4. Wouldn't my homeowners cover any problem like that?

Many homeowners' policies do not cover a person you have hired to do work in your home. They assume the person has that coverage. It is always a good idea to check with your insurance agent about these matters.

5. Why do I need an agency to find a caregiver for me? Can't I just hire an independent person?

Yes you could hire an independent person, but here is what you get when you work through our agency:

  1. First, we do extensive screening of all our employees. We verify work references, do criminal background checks and consult the nurse's aide abuse registry.
  2. We do all the scheduling. If the caregiver is ill, or can't be there for some other reason, we will replace that person. Our telephone is answered 24 hours a day and our on-call staff is there to help you 7 days a week.
  3. All of our employees are covered by professional liability and worker's compensation insurance. They are also bonded.
  4. We pay the employer's portion of Medicare and social security taxes.

6. Will I have to sign a contract?
NO. Care network never asks you to sign a contract. We will provide a Service Agreement which outlines what we are responsible to do and what you are responsible for.
